MEETING NEW AND OLD FRIENDS….AND THEIR PROBLEMS

Recently, I spent a lot of time in meeting new and old friends around the town. Besides got to keep contact again with my old friends, I got to extend my circle of friends by meeting some interesting people around. Meanwhile, I came to discover the dilemmas faced by the people in this modern society.

Some of them just complained that money is not enough and they struggle hard earn more money in order to make end meet. Consequently, they just blamed that their current job can’t earn enough and looking for better job with higher pay. THIS IS MONEY PROBLEMS OF NOT ENOUGH MONEY…

Some of them who did well in their career and doing great in business, however just did not have enough time for their family and themselves. They earned a lot of money but sacrificed their quality time with their family and also their health. In the end, they were facing with family problems, and health problems. Most interestingly, some of them have the money problems of too much money. They may not have the time to spend the money earned; they may worry how to keep it safe and invested. They may not know whether people like them, or their money. AGAIN, THIS IS MONEY PROBLEMS OF TOO MUCH MONEY…

However, some people have problem with the people around them. They do not know how to maintain a good relationship with their family and friends. They are not popular in their office or home as well. So, they are always alone wherever they go. They just feel lonely and need someone to talk to sometime. They need the care and love of friends and family members.

Lastly, some of them around the age of 20 something to 30 something (young adults), they may not have money problem and may did well in their career. But, they feel lonely deep in their hearth because short of love and caring from someone they long awaited. They may look for life partner, love partner or sex partner. But, they just do not meet their Mr. Right or Ms. Right yet.
Lately, my interest in study human character, lifestyle and problems faced by them were grown deeper. At the same time, I came to understand and know more about myself and solve the problems toward a better quality life ahead.

Whatever the problems, I still believed that there will be a solution which guide us towards betterment of life and finally acquire the life’s riches.

Can I Borrow $25 ???

A good and meaningful story to share with everyone :)

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated to find his 5 years old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: Daddy, may I ask you a question?

DAD: Yeah sure, what it is?

SON: Daddy, how much do you make an hour?

DAD: That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?, the man said angrily.

SON: I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?

DAD: If you must know, I make $50 an hour.

SON: "Oh" The little boy replied, with his head down. "Daddy, may I please borrow $25?"

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn’t ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.

“Are you asleep, son?”, he asked.

“I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on your earlier,” said the man. “It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the $25 you asked for.”

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. “Oh, thank you daddy,” he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and the looked up at his father.
“Why do you want more money if you already have some?”, the father grumbled.

“Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied. “Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.”

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It’s just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love. Have we forgotten what is really important in life? Too caught up in money, personal ambitious, and forgot how to enjoy and appreciate the sweet simplicities in life?

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
